Both the Porsche 911 and Cayman offer strong horsepower and exhilarating acceleration that is best enjoyed on long open stretches of highway. In terms of sheer numbers, the Porsche 911 has more power behind it, giving it more speed to work with. The Cayman, meanwhile, has sharper reaction times and precise handling to its advantage.

The 2016 Porsche 911 and 2016 Porsche Cayman are seemingly similar in terms of design. Each is a two-door model with an aggressive roofline and rear wheel drive layout. However, that is about where the similarities end.
The Porsche 911 is longer than the Porsche Cayman, and has a slight advantage in aerodynamics. For its part, the Cayman is lighter by nearly 250 lbs., and features a wider wheelbase. Its mid-engine layout also provides a more evenly balanced front/rear weight distribution.
Additionally, the Porsche 911 will seat four, and is available with a sunroof. The Porsche Cayman only seats two, but it adds an extra trunk for one in both front and rear.
The interiors of these two luxury sport coupes perfectly combine comfort with a dynamic driving experience. Sport seats and leather upholstery come standard.
The Porsche Cayman is outfitted with a CDR audio system with a seven-inch color touchscreen monitor. The Porsche 911 gains the Porsche Communication Management system. Also using a seven-inch touchscreen, the PCM includes navigation with Google Street View® and Apple CarPlay®.
Both have an optional BOSE® Surround System which can monitor ambient cabin noise and adjust playback for the best acoustic experience.
Both models are available with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, and a pad wear sensor, and come standard with multistage front airbags and the Porsche Side Impact Protection System. Front and rear parking sensors are available on both models as well.
The 2016 Porsche 911 is available with adaptive cruise control, when driving a model equipped with the available PDK transmission.
Finally, your Porsche 911 or Cayman will be protected under warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles - whichever comes first - with roadside assistance for the duration of the warranty.
The Porsche 911 Carrera starts at $89,400 MSRP, while the 2016 Porsche Cayman S starts at $64,100 MSRP. Whichever you choose depends on how you intend to use it. The Cayman is a small, nimble, sports car that is a great deal of fun to drive when you have the opportunity to put it through its paces. The Porsche 911 is for the crowd who want a powerful and luxurious vehicle they can take out everyday.
