Porsche Macan Gains an All-New Engine Option and More Performance Features | Los Angeles, CA

December 13th, 2018 by

The new Porsche Macan will offer drivers a redeveloped 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine, among other advanced motorsports-derived technology. This engine is set to produce 350 HP and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, and features a layout typically seen in race-developed vehicles.

In this 3.0L turbocharged V6, the turbocharger itself sits between cylinder banks in what’s often called a “Hot V.” This centrally located position shortens the path for exhaust gasses take to spool the turbocharger. The result is less turbo lag, more responsive performance, and improved overall efficiency.

The Macan will also include several more performance upgrades, including more finely tuned sway bars, Porsche Active Stability Management, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus to ensure sports car handling at all times. Enhanced brakes and lighter aluminum suspension components help keep the Porsche Macan handle precisely as well.
